Recently, I had the honor of having a meet and greet with Gubernatorial Candidate Jason Esteves. We discussed all things labor. The SK battery plant fiasco and how we can avoid that in the future. The Hyundai plant in Savannah, PLA’s, and steps to repeal right to work. We also discussed how we can attract and keep good, union jobs in the state of Georgia. Decision makers and policy makers are all around us, leadership is knowing we need to be in those rooms and at those tables. From the classroom to the job site, the boardroom to the capitol building, we will be there fighting for the membership of this local. When our members need us, we will answer the call. I plan to continue to meet with as many Gubernatorial Candidates as possible to continue advocating for labor and 613.
